Roma Gyaru . . . what is it? And how to tell the difference between Roma gyaru and Hime kaji (Casual Hime)

So I know people that are new to Gyaru style may have never heard of Roma Gyaru, and up until a couple moths ago I had heard of it but I had never been interested in Roma but now that I'm looking at the style a little closer I'm beginning to really enjoy it. So I'm going to use the knowledge that I have collected over the past couple of mothns to explain what Roma Gyaru is to those who are curious or want to know more about it so they can try the style out for themselves. Okay here we go  Roma is short for Romantic so             Roma Gyaru = Romantic Gyaru.  Roma gyaru usually consist of frilly styles of clothing , cute patterns, and generally girly fashions. Now you may think that this is exactly like Hime Kaji = Causal Hime and in some aspects that true but they're aspects of each style that can help you to tell the difference between the styles.

This is Hime Kaji

Color schemes and Patterns

Now that I have presented some examples now I'm going to break it down and tell you what makes these styles different or at least what I have noticed that makes these two different styles. The first thing I notice is that Roma Gyaru uses a full range of colors from muted colors, pastels ,as well as very deep colors while hime kaji will sometimes use blacks , browns, and tans. But it isn't as predominantly used in the types of clothing worn, hime kaji usually leans toward pastel and light colors. As for the prints that are used on clothes Hime kaji and Roma both use floral prints but it is more used in hime kaji, while roma will usually contain polka dot print as well as floral prints, and plaid.

Jewelry

Now on to accessories I've noticed with Roma gyaru they tend to use old looking/ classic looking jewelry. while Hime Kaji uses a lot of gold jewelry , the jewelry is usually delicate looking and not big or chunky. usually accented with bows, roses, or colored stones.

Hair
Hair styles for Hime Kaji are almost about the same as Hime gyaru it still has it's volume and is curly or wavy hair with lots of body and hair accessories like over sized flowers or bows  but it can still vary to the persons personal preference. While Roma gyaru haor styles are usually wavy or loosely curled and it doesn't have as much volume to the hair styles.

So for now these are my observations on the differences between the two styles as I learn more I will update my post if I have anything wrong please comment and I will definitely revise this post and I hope this has helped anyone who was curious about some of the differences.
